DETAILS

The living space at the Edmonstone's Close Residence has been recently renovated. It features modern furnishing including cozy sofas, dining area and modern art. The fully fitted kitchen features all mod cons and appliances for guests. A TV, DVD player and WiFi are all available to use. The communal courtyard can be accessed via a patio door in the living room.

A partition in the bedroom provides privacy from the main area of the property. The bedroom features a kingsize bed plus storage. Two additional guests can sleep on the sofa bed in the living room. Guests should bear in mind that because this is a studio property, the two areas are not completely separated. A contemporary bathroom with shower over bath completes this delightful holiday apartment.

The Grassmarket, Old Town, Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle are in the local area.

A meet and greet service is provided for guests whereby you will be met at the property to be provided with keys and to be shown the property. 

Earlier entry can perhaps be arranged but it depends if there is a departure at your chosen apartment that day. This can be confirmed within 48 hours of arrival. If you are arriving earlier than 16:00 on the day of your arrival then it is worth contacting the property manager as they will always endeavour to give you access as soon as possible. You may be able to arrive early, leave luggage and come back however this is not guaranteed so please plan accordingly.

The latest departure time is 11:00, however, a guaranteed later departure (up to 20:00) can be arranged for a fee of 50% of the daily rate for that day but please note this is subject to no existing booking arriving that day already.

All properties are strictly non-smoking. We do not accept hen/stag/party groups. At least one guest must be over 25 years old.

Please arrange your arrival with the property manager at least 24 hours before arrival.

This apartment forms part of a tradition tenement within a private close. French doors lead out into a private courtyard.

DIRECTIONS

It takes approx 30-35 minutes to get from Edinburgh airport to the city centre. The main railway station, Edinburgh Waverley, is approx 250 metres from the apartment.

TRAM

Edinburgh trams, approx every 8-10 mins (Sunday 12-15 mins), right outside terminal, the nearest drop off point for the apt are the Princes St and St Andrew Sq stops both are approx 800 metres away. Cost 8.50 pounds for adults and 4.50 pounds for children for a RETURN journey.

AIRPORT BUS

Airport express buses can be found every 15 minutes outside the terminal building. The closest drop-off point is on Waverley Bridge, approx 300 metres from the apartment. Costs are £7.50 per person for a RETURN journey. 

TAXI

Many taxis can be found right outside the terminal building and will cost £15 - 20 for a one-way journey. However a taxi will drop you off right outside the property you have booked.

PARKING

Street parking is enforced Mon-Sat 08:00 - 18:30. It is expensive and inflexible as you can only stay in one spot for a few hours. 

There are many city centre car parks to choose from, you can use these for a short time or full days which cost approx £16 or more, or enter the postcode of the property you have booked into this website http://www.parkopedia.co.uk/ 

Edinburgh is a relatively small city centre and is much better explored on foot. If you do not plan your use your car much, leave your car in a well lit residential street outside the restricted city centre, the whole operation should take approx 30 minutes. Alternatively, the return journey in a taxi from an unrestricted area (approx 2.5 km) would be less than one days parking charges.

You will be asked to check-out before11:00.


Late Fees

Please note that arrivals after 19:00 may incur a late arrival fee of 15 pounds for unsociable hours.


Deposit

A £200 refundable damage/security deposit is due 7 days before arrival, and refunded after departure.
